Desert Sunsets.

Some people wonder why in the world I like the desert. To be honest, for photos of almost any kind, I'd rather be at a beach or in the mountains. But when it comes to sunsets (and even nighttime photos), I'd rather be here in the desert capturing beautiful shots. Now, because the overall repetitiveness of the desert, in photos, you want to find SOMETHING interesting in the foreground. That can be a random tree, a cactus, or a bird perched somewhere. Sometimes, I take pictures of objects in the direction of the sunset that allow light to flow around it and show the colors of the sunsets through it, such as this:

Most of the time, though, I try to capture the beauty of the sunset and the desert as a whole, such as all these:

And then, sometimes I like to capture the sun in an eerie, Western-movie way, like these:

College, College. Oh What a Pain It Is.

So, it's been a little longer than I expected for making a post. I've been dealing with college work, even though it is just one class. I am currently taking a Public Speaking course at Barstow College, and it's just one day of the week. Doesn't sound like a problem, does it? Well, try doing a public speech at 9 in the morning when you are used to getting up an hour later (10 in the morning). I fight all the yawning, stretching, and of course, drifting off during lecture. Sometimes unsuccessfully. It sometimes also feels like I had a bottle of wine before class (although I am underage, so I have no idea the exact effects).

Sometimes I hate college work, but I know it is for the better. I just wish I had the class at a later time.

My Life in a Small Nutshell

I was born in 1998 at 6 weeks premature, weighing 2 lbs, 4 oz, and and 14 inches long. I have naturally curly hair, but it only is noticeable when it gets really long, which I had only once. I was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) at about 4, and also diagnosed with Asperger's when I was in fifth grade. I also have fairly mild hearing loss in both ears, but I've powered through it with no hearing aids and no problem. I had been bullied in middle school, and then switched to an AWESOME charter school, which had a NO-BULLYING policy. Due to the way I was bullied, if I met you, I'd be a little shy at first and might not even speak to you, until maybe you spoke to me. But photography really breaks me out of my shell, and is a great stress reliever for me. In this blog, you will see photographs every now and then, from members of my family to landscapes. You will also see posts about my life, I hope weekly, and what I and my family have been up to.
